HOUSE W, DUNKELD

The focus in the design was to open up the spaces and integrate, both visually and physically, the disparate parts of the house. The site has a very large, unusually shaped London Plain tree, that is now visible from almost all of the house.

Many of the original finishes were retained and combined with newer design elements, to create a playful modern style – emphasising and picking up on the clients existing furniture and taste.

This project was run under the auspices of KWA, with Helen as project architect, running the job through all council approval processes, technical documentation, design resolution, and all construction phases, in close liaison with the client and builder.
