"From the outset to the end of the project Helen led the project extremely well. In particular: she has a strong creative vision which not only took into account the existing home’s integrity and its setting but also she was able to create exciting new spaces and significantly enhance existing spaces in very clever ways.

Alongside this creative vision, Helen was always keen to also understand how we wanted to use the house as a family – she was very open to and clever in incorporating these views in the design.

Helen also managed the overall build and was always very organized, prepared with multiple options when sourcing and presenting materials,  sensitive to budgets and effective with the project time management.

"We renovated our home in Johannesburg in 2015 and Helen was our architect. Our home is a heritage building and we chose to work with Helen because she is really sensitive about maintaining the original character of a home, while transforming it into a modern building.

Our front entrance elevation was not very attractive when we bought the house, and Helen came up with such a wonderful idea to add a roof half way to create a porch at the front door. The design completely transformed the entrance to our home and now it is really pretty and we love it.

Helen also had some other really lovely ideas which completely transformed our space and made it really special. We added a large extension to the upstairs of the house, added a new roof, as well as completely re-did the kitchen, all bathrooms and most other spaces.

Helen was really good at working within our budget, and we managed to do almost everything we wanted to do because of clever ideas that Helen came up with. Helen was open to our ideas and incorporated them well into the design. 

We are delighted with how our home turned out, and we love living in it. We would highly reccommed Helen to anyone to design their home."
